Dart and other Dublin rail services see hours of delays as signalling fault causes major disruption

A major signalling issue on the Dart has been resolved after hours of delays for rail and Dart users in Dublin.
“The signalling issue has been resolved, and we are working to move trains onto platforms,” a statement posted on X said earlier this evening. The issue was resolved at about 8.15pm, but then re-emerged, according to an Iarnród Éireann spokeswoman.
All Dart and Dublin to Dundalk train services had been suspended earlier and Dublin Bus was accepting rail tickets for affected services, a spokesperson said. Customers outside of the Dublin Bus network were advised to “make alternative transport arrangements”.
Delays were still expected as the services begin running again.
Belfast services are also badly affected, and there have been delays to Maynooth and Grand Canal Dock/Connolly to Hazelhatch/Newbridge services.
